Calibear Premium Sandblasted Bell Rig

Sandblasting is what separates this one from the rest of the bell rigs. Instead of a polished surface the glass is blasted to a frosted finish, which changes how it feels in the hand more than how it looks in a photo. It grips rather than slips, and fingerprints stop being a problem entirely. At 6.5 inches it's a small piece, built on the straight beaker profile that keeps water low and the footprint wide. The 14.5mm joint is the common size, so accessories are easy to source and easy to replace. Borosilicate throughout.

Bowls and replacements in that size are stocked across our bong bowls range, with concentrate glass in quartz bangers. Six colourways sit in the Calibear collection. One thing to know about a blasted finish: it holds residue on the outside where a polished surface would wipe clean, so the frosting can look grubby around the joint over time. Isopropyl on a cloth brings it back, but it needs doing more often than a gloss rig does.

Buy it for the texture and the compact footprint rather than for filtration. Best for anyone who has dropped a slippery rig and would like not to repeat it.

1. Fill the rig with water, ensuring that it covers the downstem. This will provide optimal filtration and cooling for a smoother hit.

2. Grind your dry herbs and pack them into the 14.5mm male herb bowl, which is included with your purchase. This ensures even burning and maximum flavor.

3. Insert the bowl into the female joint of the rig. Make sure it fits snugly for a secure connection.
