Eyce ProTeck Alien Spoon Pipe | Glass with Silicone Shell

The Eyce ProTeck Alien Spoon is a borosilicate glass spoon pipe tucked inside a platinum-cured silicone exoskeleton shaped like an alien. It belongs to Eyce's ProTeck Glass Series, which puts real glass where the smoke travels and silicone on the outside where the bumps happen. The mold has fine sculpted details that look great and also give your fingers something to hold onto, so it sits securely in your hand. Eyce pours its silicone in mixed colorways, which means no two Aliens look exactly alike. A stainless steel poker comes included and clips into a holder built under the neck, so you always have a tool ready to clear the bowl.

The silicone shell is removable, and that is a big deal for cleaning. Slide the glass out and you can soak and scrub it like any glass spoon, then rinse the shell separately before putting it back together. The trade-off with this style is that the glass inside is still glass, so the shell lowers the odds of a break without making it unbreakable, and the sculpted mold has small crevices where ash can settle. A quick rinse of the shell now and then keeps those details looking sharp. If you want the flavor of a glass spoon with a fun shape and extra protection, the Alien is an easy pick. It makes a great gift too, since every one comes out a little different.
