Dyno Miqro
“ Folks looking for a portable vaporizer emitting copious clouds of vape should look elsewhere. But folks seeking a super discrete personal portable vaporizer with a brilliant design will find a lot to like in this DaVinci Miqro. DaVinci has done a lot right here. I especially like the removable battery, USB charging (and plug-and-play if your battery has discharged completely), and the vibration when the unit has reached the pre-selected temperature. Though I usually prefer vaporizers that let you select a particular temperature, I find the Miqro's 4-Path temperature system very effective. Path 1 starts at 350 degrees and ramps up to 370; my normal starting temperature with the DaVinci Ascent is 365. Then Path 2 covers the range 370-390, Path 3, 390-410, and Path 4, 410-430. These temperatures are well-chosen to maximize both the flavor and efficacy of your herb. The Miqro will also let you set it to a particular temperature, but the single-digit LED readout makes the job a bit cumbersome. The Paths are as effective and easier to implement... I should add that the Miqro delivers excellent flavor. Just the taste of the herb -- no metal or chemical off-taste. For such a little unit -- the Miqro is just a little larger than a cigarette lighter -- the Miqro has a pretty commodious bowl. Grind a bud, pack it in, and you're good to go. The Miqro has an adjustable tamper they call a "bead" that compresses your herb in the oven to maximize baking evenness. A neat idea, as is the removable vapor path (making for easy cleaning with rubbing alcohol) and stirring tool tucked into a slot in the top compartment. Finally, in the "please and delight" category, the Miqro signs off with some word of affirmation like "Ecstasy" when you turn it off. Yes, good night, Miqro, you sleep tight yourself! I got the cobalt blue Miqro, and it really is a thing of beauty, priced right at around $150. What's not to like? ”
Smaller, Smarter, Vaporizer: DaVinci MIQRO
Smaller, Smarter, Vaporizer: DaVinci MIQRO
The DaVinci MIQRO is a dry herb vaporizer small enough to disappear in your hand, at roughly 3.1 inches tall and 3.7 ounces with the battery in. It is about a third smaller than DaVinci's original IQ, but it keeps the features that made that model popular. The vapor path is pure zirconia ceramic, which does not add taste, so your flower comes through clean. You get two ways to heat. Smart Paths offer four preset modes that each climb through a 20 degree range as your session goes, starting at 350, 370, 390, and 410 degrees Fahrenheit, so you get fuller vapor as the bowl cooks down. Precision mode lets you dial in an exact temperature up to 430 degrees. Most settings heat up in under a minute.
The oven is adjustable, so you can shrink the chamber by up to 50 percent for a quick solo session without wasting flower. A built-in picking tool helps you stir the bowl, and a boost button bumps the heat on demand. The MIQRO runs on a removable 18350 battery, and that is the main trade-off: the battery is small, so expect a few sessions per charge. Carrying a charged spare is the easy fix, and swapping it out takes seconds. For pre-packed sessions, fill MIQRO Series Dosing Capsules with the MIQRO Series Dosage Grinder, carry them in the Dosing Capsule Holder, and add the Extract Kit if you want to vape concentrates too. Each MIQRO is backed by DaVinci's 5-year warranty, and it comes in Amethyst, Onyx, Graphite, Rust, and Cobalt. See the full lineup in our DaVinci collection, compare other portable options in our dry herb vaporizers, or browse spare parts in our vaporizer accessories.
If you want real temperature control and clean flavor in a vaporizer that fits in your pocket, the MIQRO is hard to beat at this size. Pair it with a spare battery and it will cover a full day out.
