Fab egg rigs put the chamber in a rounded body rather than a straight can, and the reason is function as much as looks. The curve gives the smoke room to expand and swirl after it leaves the percolator instead of being pushed straight up a tube, which takes the edge off without adding resistance. At 9 inches with a bent neck this one is comfortable to use sitting down, and the Seed of Life perc inside the egg does the diffusion. Colour accents on the base, percolator, mouthpiece and ground joint tie the piece together rather than being scattered across it.
It has a 14mm female joint and ships with a bowl, so it's ready for flower and takes a 14mm male banger from our quartz bangers for concentrates. Five colourways sit in the Calibear collection, and there's plenty to compare against across our dab rigs range. The rounded body is the thing to plan around when cleaning: isopropyl pools in the bottom of the curve and needs proper swirling to reach the whole inner surface, so a quick rinse leaves more behind than it does on a straight-sided rig.
Choose it over the straight-bodied rigs if you want a softer pull and don't mind the extra bulk. Best for home use where the shape can be appreciated.
