This is a great little short diffuser. Even though it has a closed bottom, the 24 holes (8 columns of 3) provide very little drag. Depending on the piece, it can splash a little high as the top holes are high, but it's still pretty smooth if you use it at the lowest possible water level that covers the holes.

I would highly recommend this item to those looking for a great glass down stem for their RIP Bong; these are the down stems that came with my RIP Beaker and Dab Rig; they work great!
