The IQ3 runs on a single removable 21700 cell, and DaVinci rates each charge for up to 90 minutes of use, so with two spares on hand you can swap in a fresh battery in seconds and keep going instead of waiting on a charger. Rotating between cells also spreads out the wear, which helps each battery hold its capacity longer than one cell charged and drained every day. Charge them in the IQ3 over USB-C, or use an external charger rated for 21700 cells to keep one topping off while you use the other. If you only need a single backup, the IQ3 21700 Battery is also sold on its own.

Treat lithium-ion cells with care. Charge only with a charger rated for 21700 lithium-ion batteries, and never leave batteries charging unattended. Stop using any battery that shows swelling, damage, torn wraps, or leakage, and never disassemble or puncture the casing. Carry spares in a battery case rather than loose in a pocket or bag, where keys or coins can short the terminals, and recycle used batteries instead of throwing them in the trash. DaVinci also recommends removing the battery when your IQ3 is not in use for a while. We are not liable for fire, explosion, or damage resulting from misuse, improper charging, or failure to follow these safety guidelines.
